Christmas Tag Idea #1

With Christmas looming so near, I will be posting some Tag ideas that could you can reinterpret into   into cards, garlands, gift tags, and home decor.. Or they may simply serve as inspiration for another project.
My first tag was inspired by the pretty silver and aqua tags I made for the Compendium Challenge.
This tag was made by swirling Antique Linen Distress Ink over the entire tag using a Blending Tool.  The edges were very lightly brushed with Gathered Twig Distress Ink using the Blending Tool.  I then used Spritz and Flick technique before drying it with a heat gun.  I stamped the postcard address/cancellation stamp from I See Paris by Stampers Anonymous using Silver Pigment ink.  I allowed that to dry before adding the Rosettes using hot glue.  The Rosettes were made using the Alterations Paper Mini Rosettes Die.
The greenery and pinecone were die cut from Kraft Core Core'dinations and silver glitter paper using the Tattered Pinecone die.  Tim has a video on how to make the pinecone here.  I will warn you- this is my 5,000th pinecone and the first one I like.  It isn't as easy as Tim makes it look but perseverance pays off.  The Sizzix blog has an excellent PDF here with more tips and hints on making the pinecone that frankly I just found and I wish I had read somewhere around pinecone..oh maybe #1 rather than #5000.
Back to our tag…The pearls are Recollections from Michaels- the same kind I used on the birthday cake cards in the past.
Finally, the ticket was made using
the techniques from this tutorial- of course substituting the Christmas ticket stamp and switching up the colors.  The tag was inked with Gathered Twigg Distress Ink.  The Christmas Ticket was stamped with Black Archival ink and the entire tag was edged, then dusted lightly with Gold Pigment Ink using a Blending tool.  I always make an entire strip of tickets at a time.  One ticket was torn off and attached using Tiny Attacher.  Finally, the red velvet ribbon was tied into a small bow and attached under the pinecone and a strip of the same ribbon was attached to the bottom of the card using redline tape.
