Christmas 2012 Tag Idea #2

With Christmas so close I'm sharing some design ideas to spark your creativity.  You can use these designs as a starting point to make your own tags, cards, gift tags or  even a garland.

I love this whimsicle yet classic Christmas design.  The color palate is perfect for a little sophisticated, a little traditional, a little fun.
This tag starts the same way as  Tag #1: apply Antique Linen Distress Ink with a Blending Tool…distress the edges by applying Gathered Twig Distress Ink on the edges with Blending Tool.  Spritz and Flick and dry with heat gun.  Stamp background stamp with Silver Pigment Ink. For this tag I used the postcard stamp from Stampers Anonymous I see Paris .  When the pigment ink is dry- and it must be dry or the adhesive won't stick- attach the embellishments- die cut two Movers and Shapers Mini Pine Trees from decorative cardstock and distressed with Gathered Twig Distress Ink.  The reindeer is die cut using the BigZ  Reindeer Flight from decorative cardstock.  Ink the edges with the same Gathered Twig Distress Ink.  Wrap a small piece of red velvet ribbon around his neck and attached with hot glue.  The rhinestones are from Recollections at Michaels and come on a long strip. Snip off a small triangle shape to match the space you want to cover.  The antlers are actually the greenery from the Tattered Pinecone die.  Simply use a glittered paper and trim it to mimic antlers.  The reindeer was attached using Pop Dots.  Finally a pretty red velvet bow adorns the top and a gathered red ribbon adorns the bottom.  The bow was attached using hot glue, the gathered ribbon using redline tape.
